Happy Birthday to the legend himself, Ginuwine, The R&B singer turns 49 today. Lets recap some of the highlights of his career…

Elgin Baylor Lumpkin or better knowns as Ginuwine, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Ginuwine began his career as a member of Swing Mob in the early 1990s. Signing to Epic Records as a solo artist in the mid-1990s, Ginuwine has released a number of multi-platinum and platinum-selling albums and singles, becoming one of R&B’s top artists during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

According to Billboard Ginuwine has sold 6.98 million albums in the USA.

Ginuwine’s biggest record ever however was “Pony” which released on August 20, 1996. This track is still played across the world today and was Timbaland’s breakthrough as a producer…. This record went on to sell over 900,000 copies and later became a certified platinum single.
